Subject: Contract Supplement #2 to Standard Consultant Agreement for
Engineering Services for the Olympic Discovery Trail Project,
South Discovery Bay, Segment 1- Phase 1 Et 2
Statement of Issue:
Supplement to the Standard Consultant Agreement with Parametrix of Bremerton, WA for
engineering services for the Olympic Discovery Trail, South Discovery Bay Project.
Analysis/Strategic Goals/Pro's & Con's:
Construction of this project is included in the officially adopted 2017-2022 Transportation
Improvement Program (TIP) and the 2017 Annual Construction Program (Item No. 7 in
each). This contract provides for the design and engineering of segments of the Olympic
Discovery Trail (ODT) between Old Gardiner Road and SR 20 in South Discovery Bay.
This Supplemental Agreement will amend the contract amount specified in the original
Standard Consultant Agreement with Parametrix, Inc. from $71,276.97 to $75,276.97.
Fiscal Impact/Cost Benefit Analysis:
This Supplemental Agreement increases the original Standard Consultant Agreement
contract by $4,000 to a total of $75,276.97 for geotechnical services provided by sub -
consultant Landau Associates, Inc. managed through Parametrix, Inc. Geotechnical services
during construction of the ODT are funded through WA State Recreation and Conservation
Office and Jefferson County, with additional matching funds previously spent on Discovery
Bay restoration by North Olympic Salmon Coalition.
Recommendation:
The Board is asked to execute the three (3) originals of the Supplemental Agreement with
Parametrix, and return (2) signed originals to Public Works (attn. John Fleming).

Supplement to add budget for geotechnical sub -consultant services during construction.
The Local Agency of Jefferson County Public Works hereby amends the agreement with Parametrix, Inc.,
executed on 12/2/13 later amended through Supplemented Agreement Number 1 executed on 2/27/2017.
All provisions in the supplemented agreement remain in effect except as expressly modified by this
Supplemental Agreement.
The changes to the agreement are described as follows:
Section VI SUB -CONTRACTING: With this Supplemental Agreement, the sum of $4,000 shall be
added to the budget for sub -consultant Landau Associates, Inc. managed through Parametrix, Inc. for the
purpose of providing geotechnical services during construction on an on-call basis. Specific rates of pay
shall be per the attached, revised Exhibit G-2.
This Supplemental Agreement Number 2 shall be effective upon execution by both parties, below. Work
performed consistent with the agreement prior to execution of this Supplemental Agreement is hereby
ratified.
