Subject: Year End Dates & 13TH month processing
Here are a couple of things to keep in mind for year-end 2017 and the 13th month accounts payable vouchers.
1) Please turn vouchers in as early as possible in the third week of December. That gives us a chance to
audit and submit to the BOCC for signatures on Friday, December 22, 2017.
2) The first two input weeks in January 2018 will be for the 2017 budget. These vouchers will also have
2017 input dates. Please make sure you have enough budget and cash before you enter vouchers.
(See the attached monthly calendars for additional information). If you have any type of over-budget
message in GEMS when entering your invoices, please contact Accounting immediately.
3) We will close the budget year for 2017 for input on January 12, 2018.
4) The third batch in January 2017, will be processed for the 2018 budget. This small batch is for the
processing of memberships, dues or invoices of an emergent nature. If you have any questions
regarding this batch entry please contact Accounting.
