ALL SAAB MEMBERS ARE WELCOME TO ATTEND. Friends of Rich Finn (same as last month) There is movement again in terms of the series of radio conversations we had planned last year. The UW Alcohol and Drug Abuse Institute (ADAI) has guaranteed me that they will have someone who will be interviewed over the phone for the 2nd and 3rd programs. Larry Stein (KPTZ), Lois Barnett and Kelly Matlock are working out the details. We are hoping that SAAB members will be willing to participate in the second conversation. Also, Lois is planning with Marc Weinblatt another Poetic Justice Theatre Ensemble event, and Lois and Kelly will be asking SAAB members who previously volunteered to be a part of a “resource fair” after the event if they are still willing to do this. 2 Informational - No quorum April 8, 2014 The original plan is to have the following topics:  Interview with Friends of Rich Finn (with a local voice aware of local resources)  Different approaches/modalities for recovery and their efficacy - Treatment providers and someone from ADAI (UW can be interviewed as an impartial “authority” as a part of a discussion.)  Impact of alcohol and marijuana on the developing teenage brain (I think this should mostly like need to be just the UW person). SAAB Members will be notified as more develops. Webinar Details: April 8, 2014 YESTERDAY Space is still available for the Drug Free Action Alliance Webinar: Scare Tactics.
