County Drug & Alcohol Coordinator Ford
Ford reported the Regional Support Network (RSN) is moving to take over managing
Chemical Dependency (CD) funding. This could have a serious impact on Safe Harbor's
ability to continue to provide services and do business. Ford shared his concerns about
Mental Health taking over CD services and stated he feels this could be problematic.
John Austin stated he does not believe this would occur either this year or next year.
Jefferson County is the only county that has a collaboration between Mental Health and
CD services. It is important that Jefferson County Commissioners are aware of RSN
issues.
Safe Harbor has received incentive payments from Brandeis University for the level of
engagement of clients. Thus far Safe Harbor has met the criteria for 2 consecutive
quarters and received incentive payments for both quarters.

Sam Markow announced he has resigned his position as Executive Director of Jefferson
