Jail Relapse Prevention program Fran  Fran reported the Jail Relapse Prevention is back up and running with 11-14 male participants. She had a recent conversation with Pat Wiggins and was informed the number of female inmates is substantially lower than male inmates and the number of Jail RP groups for females has dropped. Pat continues to screen female inmates for potential participation in the female Jail RP groups.  Ford informed the group of concerns he is working on, over the continued difficulties of getting AA members through the screening process so they can participate in the AA meetings at the jail. The screening process includes a background check and continues to be a lengthy process creating difficulties in the AA community with sharing the responsibilities of conducting meetings at the jail. There have also been instances of AA members showing up for meetings and being denied access at the jail. Some members are traveling from Port Angeles and Ford is concerned AA members will not continue to try to attend meetings at the jail if they are turned away with no notice. Ford has left a message with Sheriff Hernandez about scheduling a meeting to discuss options to address these concerns. Mike Evans will also discuss these issues at his regular weekly meeting with the Sheriff’s Department. 2. Communities That Care Project Workshop Report Anne No Report 3.
