HomeMy WebLinkAbout12-18-17 PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD: The following is a summary of comments made by individuals in attendance at the meeting and reflect their personal opinions: • Two individuals commented on toilet system options and suggested using composting toilets and greywater systems in Jefferson County; • An individual apologized regarding his inaccurate comments regarding the proposed gun range at Tarboo Lake on December 4, 2017; • Two individuals provided their opinion why Prop 1 “Affordable Housing” did not pass; • Two individuals thanked the Board for their service and understand what a hard job they have; • Five individuals commented on the proposed gun range in the Tarboo Valley; and • A citizen asked when the Board will meet with the tribes? CONSENT AGENDA: The Board deleted and later approved Item No. 1 re: Resolution No. 58-17 Allowing Employees to Accrue and Use Paid Sick Leave in Accordance with RCW 49.46.020, RCW 49.46.200 and RCW 49.46.210 (Amends Resolution No. 42-15, Jefferson County Personnel Manual). EXECUTIVE SESSION: The Board held an Executive Session to discuss potential litigation. BRIEFING: Environmental Health staff met with the Board to discuss the Conservation Futures program materials and processes for 2018. COUNTY ADMINISTRATOR BRIEFING: The Board discussed various topics with the County Administrator. ADDITIONAL BUSINESS: The Commissioners approved Ordinance No. 05-1218-17 Establishing a Moratorium on Commercial Shooting Facilities in Unincorporated Areas of Jefferson County. DISCUSSION: The Commissioners reviewed the 2018 Board Assignments. An updated 2018 Boards list will be placed on the January 2, 2018 consent agenda for approval.
