NEW BUSINESS AND PRESENTATIONS
Review DD Budget 2011-2012-2013/ Performance Measures 2013
Anna McEnery distributed copies of the 2013 budget for members to review. She noted that
2013 actual figures would be available at the end of the fiscal year. The County budget is based
on the calendar year and the State budget is based on the fiscal year, so sometimes there is a
variance. Anna reviewed the budget items explaining details and answering questions. Julia
Danskin responded to several questions, but some additional questions will need to be
answered by Veronica Shaw, Financial Director.
Copies of the 2014 Performance Measures were distributed. Julia explained that Performance
Measures are submitted along with the Budget to explain how the funds are used. Anna detailed
and explained specific aspects of the Performance Measures and answered questions about
the various programs including Community Access, Individual Employment, Community
Information and Education, Individual Technical Assistance, Group Employment and Child
Development.

Anna shared information on a new contract with the YMCA that is for work on a transition
program for 8th grade students with developmental, other disabilities and/or who may be “at
risk”, who will be entering high school. It will provide one-on-one 11th grade mentors for 8
students to help them with the transition into high school. Two students with developmental
disabilities will be included in the group and will begin in December.
Additionally, within the scope of school transition services we want DVR to begin to start
working on job development in the fall before High School graduation, for students with
developmental disabilities. The ultimate goal is that students with developmental disabilities will
graduate with a job.
