Subject: Bid Opening, Dosewallips Road MP 1.67 Permanent Repair, County
Project No. 18019960, County Road No. 250008
Statement of Issue: Bid opening at 10:00 a.m. or shortly thereafter for the
Dosewallips Road MP 1.67 Permanent Repair.
Analysis/Strategic Goals/Pro's Et Con's: In 2014, Jefferson County performed
emergency repairs to a landslide at Dosewallips Road MP 1.67. Funding for the
emergency repairs, and funding for permanent repairs to improve drainage, road
surfacing, and safety, were provided by the County Road Administration Board (CRAB)
through the Rural Arterial Preservation Program. This bid opening is for construction
of the permanent repairs.
Fiscal Impact/Cost Benefit Analysis: The engineers estimate is $150,381.
Construction will be funded at 90% by RAP, and 10% by the County Road Fund.
Recommendation: The Board is requested to open the bids and direct Public Works
to review the bids and make a recommendation for award.
