Statement of Issue: Award of Contract to Hanson Excavation LLC of Shelton,
Washington for their bid of $131,667.10 for the above referenced project.
Analysis/Strategic Goals/Pro's 8t Con's: Public Works has completed checking the
bids for the above referenced project, and recommends award of the contract to
Hanson Excavation LLC for their bid amount of $131,667.10.
Fiscal Impact/Cost Benefit Analysis: The bid amount is $131,667.10. Construction
will be funded at 90% by the County Road Administration Board -Rural Arterial
Program, and 10% by the County Road Fund.
Recommendation: Public Works recommends that the Board authorize the Award of
Contract to Hanson Excavation LLC, and return the original to Public Works for further
processing.

• The Call for Bids was issued by the Board of County Commissioners on March 5, 2018.
• Due notice of the Call for Bids was given as required by law.
• Sealed bids were received and opened in public on March 26, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. in the
Commissioner's Chambers.
• The Public Works Department has completed checking the bids and has investigated the
qualifications of the lowest bidder.
• Bid tabs are attached for reference.
The Public Works Department recommends that the construction contract be awarded to the lowest responsive
bidder:
Hanson Excavation LLC, of Shelton, Washington for their bid amount of $131,667.10.
