SUBJECT: Request for Regular Agenda Time Monday, April 9, 2018 for
Comprehensive Plan Discussion
STATEMENT OF ISSUE:
The Public Review Draft of the 2018 Jefferson County Comprehensive Plan Periodic Review
and Update became available to the public for review and comment on Wednesday, April 4,
2018. The Planning Commission has begun their review of the documents and will hold
public hearings, review public comments and generate recommendations for the Board.
This brief introduction of the revised Plan and implementing regulations will provide the
Board and attending public with a brief overview how the documents are organized, some
things that have changed between the current plan and the proposed update, when public
meetings and hearings will be held, and how comments can be provided.
ANALYSIS:
This brief review will assist the Board and public with locating and understanding the review
documents. The Board has the opportunity to conduct their own hearing and review after
receiving the Planning Commission's recommendations.
FISCAL IMPACT:
There is no fiscal impact related to the presentation.
RECOMMENDATION:
Provide 30 minutes during the Regular Agenda for Community Development to share
information with the Board.
