PURPOSE AND SCOPE: The purpose of this ordinance is to establish a fee schedule for the Solid Waste Division of the Jefferson County Department of Public Works. This schedule shall apply to all fees required by the Solid Waste Division, SECTIONI!. FEE SCHEDULE: JACOB MILLER ROAD TRANSFER STATION COMMERCIAL AND NON-COMMERCIAL RATES Base Fee 4.6% Tax 1) SOLID WASTE DISPOSAL RATE Per Ton $115,06 $110.00 $5.06 2) ASBESTOS DISPOSAL RATE Per Ton 150.00 143.40 6.59 (properly contained only) 3) REFRIGERATORS 20,00 19.12 .88 4) MINIMUM CHARGE 5,00 4.78 .22 No fee will be charged for Yard Debris (Jacob Miller Road Transfer Station only). Yard Debris shall only include grass clippings, leaves, tree branches not over eight to ten (8-10)inches in diameter and less than eight (8) feet long and other plant material excluding stumps, kitchen scraps, food waste, lumber, rocks, gravel, dirt, lawn furniture, tools, or other non-vegetative material. Acceptable Yard Debris shall be dropped off at a point designated by the scale attendant. In the event the weight scales are inoperative, the rates for DROP BOX SITES listed in SECTION III shan apply, EXCEPT that COMMERCIAL COMPACTED WASTE shall be charged at the rate of $52.58 per cubic yard, plus tax. HOURS OF OPERATION: The Jacob Miller Road Transfer Station, rural drop box sites, and recycle center hours of operation shall be set by the Director of Public Works with approval by the Board of County Commissioners. SECTION V. REVOCATIONS AND AMENDMENTS: The establishment of a fee schedule revokes the following: 1. Ordinance 3-0323-92, Establishing Solid Waste Fees. SECTION VI. SEVERABILITY: If any section, subsection, sentence, clause, phrase, or figure of this ordinance or its application to any person or circumstances is held invalid, the remainder of the ordinance or the application to other persons or circumstances shall not be affected. \'IjL 1p 'it"\, A 1. tJ fAi: t ,), .- "', t SECTION VII. EFFECTIVE DATE: Section III of this ordinance shall become effective thirty (30) days after adoption by the Board of County Commissioners, Section II shall become effective sixty (60) days after adoption by the Board of County Commissioners, PASSED AND ADO~D WITH FINDINGS AND CONCLUSIONS INCORPORATED BY REFERENCE HEREIN.
