Fees for the Solid Waste X
Division X
SECTION I. PURPOSE AND SCOPE: The purpose of this ordinance is to establish a fee schedule
for the Solid Waste Division of the Jefferson County Department of Public Works. This schedule shall
apply to all fees required by the Solid Waste Division.
SECTION II. FEE SCHEDULE: MILLER ROAD LANDFILL, COMMERCIAL AND NON-
COMMERCIAL RATES
1. Solid Waste disposal rate per ton ................................................... $80.00
2. Asbestos disposal rate per ton ......................................................... 143.00
3. Minimum charge ..................................................................................... 3.00

In the event the weight scales are inoperable, the rates for transfer stations listed in SECTION III shall
apply, EXCEPT that compacted waste shall be charged at the rate of $22.50 per cubic yard including tax.

SECTION IV. REVOCATIONS AND AMENDMENTS: The establishment of a fee schedule
revokes the following:
1. Ordinance 3-0422-91 Establishing Solid Waste Fees.
SECTION V. SEVERABILITY: If any section, subsection, sentence, clause, phrase, or figure of this
ordinance or its application to any person or circumstances is held invalid, the remainder of the ordinance
or the application to other persons or circumstances shall not be affected.
