AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING FEES FOR THE SOLID WASTE DIVISION
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Jefferson County Board of
Commissioners will conduct a public hearing at the hour of lO.30am.
on Tuesday January 22 1991., in the Commissioners' Chambers,
Jefferson County Courthouse, Port Townsend, WA, for the purpose of
obtaining comments from all interested persons on the proposed
Jefferson County Solid Waste Fee Ordinance. The proposed ordinance
is as follows.

ORDINANCE NO. 3-0422-91
SECTION I. PURPOSE AND SCOPE: The purpose of this ordinance
is to establish a fee schedule for the Solid Waste Division of the
Jefferson County Department of Public Works. This schedule shall
apply to all fees required by the Solid Waste Division.
SECTION II. FEE SCHEDULE: MILLER ROAD LANDFILL
Base Rate 4.6% Tax

In the event the weight scales are inoperative, the rates
for transfer stations listed in SECTION III shall apply,
EXCEPT that compacted waste shall be charged at the rate
of $15.00 per cubic ~ard, including tax, and septic waste
at 6 cents per gallon.

SECTION IV. REVOCATIONS AND AMENDMENTS:
of a fee schedule revokes the following:
The establishment
1. Ordinance 1-89. Establishing Solid Waste Fees.
SECTION V. SEVERABILITY: If any section, subsection,
sentence, clause, phrase, or figure of this ordinance or its
application to any person or circumstances is held invalid, the
remainder of the ordinance or the application to other persons or
circumstances shall not be affected.
~ SECTION VI. EFFECTIVE DATE: This ordinance shall become
effective the I~ day of ~-~3~ , 19~/.
