Notice of Withdrawal of Permit Application (MLA17-00018/SDP17-00003)
For Shoreline Substantial Development of Suspended Tumble Oyster Aquaculture

Project Location:
Section 15, 16, and 22, Township 27N, Range 1W; a portion of the second class tidelands
along the Northeast shoreline of Dabob Bay.
Notice to Interested Parties of Record:
On February 21, 2018 a revised project proposal was submitted for review to Department of
Community Development. The revised proposal removes the portion of the project proposing
cultivation of oysters through suspended tumble bags. The Department of Community
Development has determined that the revised proposal complies with JCC 18.25.440(4)(b) for
ongoing aquaculture. No expansion in size, or cultivation method exceeding 25 percent of the
historical farm as documented by previous authorizations in the past 10 years is being
proposed. No species not previously cultivated in Washington State are being proposed.
Therefore, the project does not require a permit from the Department of Community
Development per JCC 18.25.440(4)(b), and the permit application for this project has been
withdrawn.
