In the absence of Chair Lorna Delaney, Acting -Chair Frank Gifford called the meeting to order at 9:30 a.m. in
the presence of Member David Alvarez.
EXECUTIVE SESSION
The Committee met in Executive Session from 9:31 to 9:35 a.m. regarding potential litigation. This exemption
is outlined in the Open Public Meetings Act RCW 42.3 0.11 0(l)(i).
CLAIMS FOR DAMAGES DISCUSSION AND POSSIBLE DECISION

After a brief discussion, Member Alvarez made a motion that the Committee take no action on the claim for
damages #C-05-08 submitted by Rose Ann Olsen. Acting -Chair Gifford seconded the motion. The motion
carried.

After a brief discussion, Member Alvarez made a motion to direct the Clerk to send a letter to the claimant
requesting that copies of her medical receipts and billings relating to the injury be sent to Jefferson County for
review and consideration of payment at a future meeting. Acting -Chair Gifford seconded the motion. The
motion carried.

DIRECTION TO THE CLERK/RECORDER
Member Alvarez moved to direct the Clerk to prepare for signature, the claim reports regarding the decision
made on each claim. Acting -Chair Gifford seconded the motion. The motion carried. (It is respectfully noted
by the Clerk that no final decision was made regarding the two claims previously discussed during this meeting.
Thus, no claim reports can be prepared at this time.)

Member Alvarez moved to adjourn the meeting at 9:50 a.m. Acting -Chair Gifford seconded the motion. The
motion carried.
