DECISION: Pay Claim CLAIMANT: CLAIM #: DAMAGES: Robin Kitchen C-14-07 $25.00 ALLEGATION: Pants Ripped on Courtroom Chair DISCUSSION: The Risk Manager and Deputy Prosecuting Attorney reviewed this claim and verified the damages were sustained as claimed. DECISION: Pay Claim Risk Management Committee Minutes - August 28, 2007 Page: 2 CLAIMANT: Jane Lorraine Parker CLAIM #: C-15-07 DAMAGES: $296.09 ALLEGATION: Vehicle Windshield Damage DISCUSSION: The Risk Manager and Deputy Prosecuting Attorney reviewed this claim and finds that chipsealing operations were being performed by County personnel in the Brinnon area on the incident date. However, County trucks headed north from the Canal Tracts would have been empty on the incident date, indicating that the object(s) in question would not have come from a County truck load, but, rather from a tire or the road, making this incident a "road hazard" for which the County is not liable.
