Matsubu CLAIM #: C-4-05 DAMAGES: $1,446.90 ALLEGATION: Damage to Vehicle by Rocks Thrown from County Road Crew Gravel Truck. DISCUSSION: The Risk Manager and Deputy Prosecuting Attorney reviewed the facts relating to this claim and found that Jefferson County road crew personnel was performing sanding operations in the area where the incident occurred. However, that sanding operation was not performed in a negligent manner by County personnel and thus the County is not liable for the damages. DECISION: Denied CLAIMANT: Alyce L. Elder CLAIM #: C-5-05 DAMAGES: $1,717.32 ALLEGATION: Damage to Vehicle by Sand/Gravel Sprayed from County Road Crew Sanding Truck. DISCUSSION: The Risk Manager and Deputy Prosecuting Attorney reviewed the facts relating to this claim and found that Jefferson County road crew personnel was performing sanding operations in the area where the incident occurred. However, that sanding operation was not performed in a negligent manner by County personnel and thus the County is not liable for the damages. Clarke CLAIM #: C-3-05 DAMAGES: $551,000 ALLEGATION: Wrongful Termination, Violations of Americans with Disabilities Act, and Breach of Express/Implied Contract. DISCUSSION: The Risk Manager and Deputy Prosecuting Attorney reviewed the facts relating to this claim and concurred that the County must deny the claim. DECISION: Denied Meeting adjourned.
