DECISION: Pending CLAIMANT: Jason Hagen CLAIM #: C-8-05 DAMAGES: $600.00 ALLEGATION: Increased Construction Costs Due to Department of Community Development Error DISCUSSION: The Risk Manager and Deputy Prosecuting Attorney reviewed the facts relating to this claim and agreed to recommend the claim be denied on the basis that it was the actions of the claimant in deviating from the County -approved building plans which resulted in the additional expense of complying with building code requirements. DECISION: Denied CLAIMANT: Puget Sound Energy CLAIM #: C-9-05 DAMAGES: $426.47 ALLEGATION: Damage to Electrical Equipment Caused by County Road Crew DISCUSSION: The Risk Manager and Deputy Prosecuting Attorney reviewed the facts relating to this claim and agreed to recommend the claim be denied on the basis that Jefferson County Road Crew personnel were not performing brush cutting operations on the paved portions of Snow Creek Road (where the guy wires are located) on the date listed on the claim form. DECISION: Pending CLAIMANT: Puget Sound Energy CLAIM #: C-11-05 DAMAGES: $473.24 ALLEGATION: Damage to Electrical Equipment Caused by County Road Crew DISCUSSION: The Risk Manager and Deputy Prosecuting Attorney reviewed the facts relating to this claim and agreed to table taking action on this claim pending further investigation. DECISION: Pending CLAIMANT: Jacklynn Short c/o Stan Glisson, Attorney at Law CLAIM #: C-13-05 DAMAGES: $60,000.00 ALLEGATION: Wrongful Arrest, False Imprisonment, and Excessive Force DISCUSSION: The Risk Manager and Deputy Prosecuting Attorney reviewed the facts relating to this claim and agreed to recommend the claim be denied on the basis that the actions of Jefferson County Sheriff's Office personnel on the incident date were lawful.
