HomeMy WebLinkAboutM11092005RISK MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE MINUTES November 9, 2005 Present: David Alvarez, Deputy Prosecuting Attorney John Fischbach, County Administrator, Risk Manager Erin Lundgren, Claims Coordinator CLAIMS CLAIMANT: Tara Thomas CLAIM #: C -10A-05 DAMAGES: $27,639.66 ALLEGATION: False Arrest and Imprisonment DISCUSSION: The Risk Manager and Deputy Prosecuting Attorney discussed this claim which appears to include the same allegations made in a separate claim submitted by Ms. Thomas on May 10, 2005 (See claim #C-10-05). It was agreed to table taking action on this claim pending further investigation. DECISION: Pending CLAIMANT: CLAIM #: DAMAGES: ALLEGATION: Karen D. Hankins C-19-05 $248.05 Vehicle Damage DISCUSSION: The Risk Manager and Deputy Prosecuting Attorney reviewed the facts relating to this claim and recommend that it be paid in full on the basis that the Public Works Road Crew performed road maintenance operations on the same day the incident occurred and verified the damages claimed by Ms. Hankins. Knifsend, Attorney at Law CLAIM #: C-20-05 DAMAGES: Unknown ALLEGATION: Unjust Enrichment and Quantum Merit Value of Work for Improvement with Regard to the Installation of Utilities DISCUSSION: The Risk Manager and Deputy Prosecuting Attorney reviewed the facts relating to this claim and agreed to table taking action pending further investigation. DECISION: Pending CLAIMANT: Shawn Ordorff CLAIM #: C-21-05 and C -21A-05 DAMAGES: $300,000 & $340,000 ALLEGATION: Violation of Constitutional Rights/Unlawfully Restrained/Retaliation/Cruel & Unusual Punishment DISCUSSION: The Risk Manager and Deputy Prosecuting Attorney reviewed the facts relating to this claim and agreed to table taking action pending further investigation. DECISION: Pending CLAIMANT: Eric Egnew CLAIM #: C-22-05 DAMAGES: $414.25 ALLEGATION: Vehicle Damage DISCUSSION: The Risk Manager and Deputy Prosecuting Attorney reviewed the facts relating to this claim and recommend that it be paid in full on the basis that the Public Works Road Crew was hauling gravel material on the same day the incident occurred and verified the damages claimed by Mr. Egnew.
