HomeMy WebLinkAboutM06032003RISK MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE MINUTES June 3, 2003 Present: David Alvarez, Deputy Prosecuting Attorney David Goldsmith, Risk Manager, County Administrator Erin Lundgren, Claims Coordinator CLAIMS CLAIMANT: Art Greenberg & Patricia Hood -Greenberg CLAIM #: C-15-03 DAMAGES: $9,236.22 ALLEGATION: Delay in receiving a building permit for house construction. DISCUSSION: The Risk Manager and Deputy Prosecuting Attorney reviewed the above referenced claim and agreed that payment of a portion of the claim is warranted. Mr. Goldsmith will draft a letter to the claimants outlining actual costs which may be paid. DECISION: It is recommended that a reduced amount of $6,200 be paid to the claimants. CLAIMANT: Qwest CLAIM #: C-16-03 DAMAGES: $95.35 ALLEGATION: Damage to buried service wire. DISCUSSION: The Risk Manager and Deputy Prosecuting Attorney reviewed the above referenced claim finding that it is the obligation of the claimant to bury its underground equipment to proper depth standards. DECISION: The Risk Manager and Deputy Prosecuting Attorney recommend the claim be denied. Risk Management Committee Minutes - June 3, 2003 Page: 2 CLAIMANT: LeRose Coulter CLAIM #: C-17-03 DAMAGES: Amount to be determined ALLEGATION: Physical injuries resulting from fall on pavement near disability parking lot along Cass Street entrance of Courthouse. DISCUSSION: The Risk Manager and Deputy Prosecuting Attorney reviewed the above referenced claim and determined that no obvious hazard exists at the location where the incident occurred. DECISION: The Risk Manager and Deputy Prosecuting Attorney recommend the claim be denied. Meeting adjourned.
