DISCUSSION: The Risk Manager and Deputy Prosecuting Attorney reviewed the above referenced claim. In the spirit of settlement and to avoid additional costs that all parties might incur in attempting to apportion fault, Jefferson County offers to pay fifty percent (50%) of the amount claimed in exchange for execution of a Release of Claim. This offer of settlement is not and shall not be admissible in court and remains valid for 30 days from November 24, 2003. DECISION: Pay fifty percent (50%) of claim. CLAIMANT: Puget Sound Energy CLAIM #: C-34-03 DAMAGES: $1,918.03 ALLEGATION: Damage to Utility/Power Equipment. DISCUSSION: The Risk Manager and Deputy Prosecuting Attorney reviewed the above referenced claim finding that the Jefferson County road maintenance crew was performing machine brushcutting at the time this incident occurred and verified the damages sustained. DECISION: Pay claim. Meeting adjourned.
