DAMAGES: Amount to be determined
ALLEGATION: Violation of Civil Rights
DETAILS: The details of the claim were reviewed. Deputy Prosecutor David Alvarez and Risk Manager
David Goldsmith agreed to table making a decision on this claim pending further
investigation.
RECOMMENDATION: Pending
CLAIMANT: Qwest

DAMAGES: $895.99
ALLEGATION: Damage to Buried Service Wire/Cable
DETAILS: After reviewing the details of the claim Deputy Prosecutor David Alvarez and Risk Manager
David Goldsmith agreed to deny the claim finding that no evidence was provided by the
claimant to support the claim that the damages sustained were caused by County personnel.
Based on maintenance records of the Department of Public Works, operations were not being
performed by County Road Crew personnel at the time, or in the area where the incident
occurred, nor does the County own or operate equipment which would "pound a post" into the
ground.
RECOMMENDATION: Deny Claim
