Deputy Prosecutor David Alvarez and Risk Manager David Goldsmith reviewed the following claims for damages.
Claims Coordinator Erin Lundgren was also present.
CLAIMS
CLAIMANT: Shannon Bishop
CLAIM#: C-9-01 and C-10-01
DAMAGES: $47.59 and $293.25
ALLEGATION: Damaged Windshield and Bugshield of Vehicle
DISCUSSION: Risk Manager David Goldsmith and Deputy Prosecuting Attorney David Alvarez reviewed
the details of the claims for damages referenced above. Mr. Alvarez advised that both claims
should be paid based on the fact that the Public Works Department has verified that the
damages sustained were the result of road surface failure.
DECISION: The Risk Manager and Deputy Prosecutor will recommend to the County Administrator that
the claims be paid.
CLAIMANT: Mike Belenski
CLAIM#: C-5-01 and C-8-01
DAMAGES: $11,100 and $1,300
ALLEGATION: Failure to Comply with Open Public Records Act as Required by Law
DISCUSSION: Risk Manager David Goldsmith and Deputy Prosecuting Attorney David Alvarez reviewed
the details of the claims for damages referenced above. Mr. Alvarez suggested that a
settlement meeting be set up to discuss both of these claims. Mr. Goldsmith will draft a letter
to the claimant inquiring about a settlement meeting.

CLAIMANT: Mike Belenski
CLAIM#: C-13-01
DAMAGES: $10,000
ALLEGATION: Negligence and Failure to Meet Requirements of RCW 9.41.300 and Resolution No. 78-99
DISCUSSION: Risk Manager David Goldsmith and Deputy Prosecuting Attorney David Alvarez reviewed
the details of the claim for damages referenced above. It was agreed that the claimant suffered
no damages subject to restitution.
DECISION: The Risk Manager and Deputy Prosecutor will recommend to the County Administrator that
the claim be denied.
