Claims Coordinator Erin Lundgren was also present. CLAIMS CLAIMANT: Kyung Lim Hong CLAIM NO: #C-4-00 DAMAGES: $196.00 ALLEGATION: Vehicle damage DISCUSSION: Risk Manager David Goldsmith explained that this claim was paid through the Washington Counties Risk Pool. The damages sustained by the claimant resulted in a monetary loss exceeding Jefferson County's deductible of$10,000. The Risk Management Committee previously recommended approval of partial payment in the amount of$9,804.00. Approving final payment in the amount of$196.00 will satisfy the deductible owed to the Risk Pool. DECISION: The Risk Manager and Prosecutor will recommend to the Board of County Commissioners that the final portion of the claim be paid. CLAIMANT: Robert E. Bates CLAIM NO: #C-10-00 DAMAGES: $100.00 ALLEGATION: Theft of personal property DISCUSSION: Risk Manager David Goldsmith reviewed the claim referenced above. He stated that the claimant's firearm was on loan to the Jefferson County Transfer Station for predator mitigation. During a recent break-in at the Transfer Station the firearm was stolen. It was agreed that the claim should be paid since the property was in the possession of the County at the time the incident occurred. Porter CLAIM NO: #C-11-00 DAMAGES: $700.00+ ALLEGATION: Loss of personal property CLAIMANT: Donald D. Pruitt CLAIM NO: #C-12-00 DAMAGES: $900.00 ALLEGATION: Loss of personal property DISCUSSION: The Prosecuting Attorney and Risk Manager reviewed these two claims together since the allegations are associated with one another. It was agreed to table discussion of these claims pending further investigation. DECISION: Pending Meeting adjourned.
