MINUTES
June 1, 2000
Deputy Prosecuting Attorney David Alvarez and Risk Manager David Goldsmith met to discuss the
following claim for damages. Claims Coordinator Erin Lundgren was also present.
LAWSUIT
CLAIMANT: Michael Pernorio
CLAIM#: C-13-00
DAMAGES: $1,000.00
ALLEGATION: Damage to trees and natural vegetation (Cedar trees, ferns, etc.) during County
brush cutting operations.
DISCUSSION: The claim for damages was reviewed by the Risk Manager and Deputy Prosecutor.
Based on County records,the brush cutting occurred within the County road right-
of-way.
DECISION: The Risk Manager and Prosecutor will recommend to the Board of County
Commissioners that the claim be denied. If the claimant can show that the damage
occurred off of the County road right-of-way,the Risk Management Committee
will reconsider the claim.
