MINUTES
August 28, 2000
Prosecuting Attorney Juelie Dalzell and Risk Manager David Goldsmith met to discuss the following
claims for damages. Claims Coordinator Erin Lundgren was also present.
CLAIMS
CLAIMANT: Seth Boltinghouse
CLAIM#: C-16-00
DAMAGES: To be determined
ALLEGATION: Damaged property and physical/emotional injuries
CLAIMANT: Dylan Johnson
CLAIM#: C-17-00
DAMAGES: To be determined
ALLEGATION: Physical injuries
DISCUSSION: The Prosecuting Attorney and Risk Manager reviewed these two claims together
since the allegations are associated with one another. Discussion of these claims
was tabled on August 21, 2000 pending further investigation. It was agreed that
Mr. Boltinghouse's injuries were the result of actions incurred while enjoined in
the commission of a felony,and that Mr. Johnson presented no proof of
compensatory damages, as the proximate cause for his injuries was the judgment of
Mr. Boltinghouse in eluding a police officer.
DECISION: The Risk Manager and Prosecuting Attorney will recommend to the County
Administrator that the claims be denied.
