MINUTES
October 19, 1999
Prosecuting Attorney Juelie Dalzell and Risk Manager David Goldsmith met to discuss the following
claims for damages. Assistant Claims Coordinator Leslie Locke was also present.
CLAIMS
CLAIMANT: Mike Ragon
CLAIM NO: #C-24-99
DAMAGES: $2,253.15
ALLEGATION: Property Damage
DISCUSSION: Risk Manager David Goldsmith reviewed the claim submitted. He stated that the
debris which caused the damage to the driveway did not originated from the
County Road or County right of way. Therefore the County is not liable for the
damages incurred.
DECISION: The Risk Manager and Prosecuting Attorney will recommend to the Board of
County Commissioners that the claim be denied.
CLAIMANT: Melanie Balch
CLAIM NO: #C-19-99
DAMAGES: $63,714.16
ALLEGATION: Physical Injury
DISCUSSION: Risk Manager David Goldsmith stated that the claimant is now cooperating with
the investigation of this claim and was interviewed by the Risk Pool adjuster. The
adjuster is waiting for additional medical information.
DECISION: Pending reconsideration.
