Statement of Issue: Execution of Change Order #2 to the Contract for Construction
with Christensen Inc., of Tumwater, WA for construction services at the Jefferson
County Transfer Station on County Landfill Rd. for the above referenced project.
Analysis/Strategic Goals/Pro's Et Con's: This additional construction cost was
incurred to coordinate with work by others, in the replacement of the pedestal
mounted transfer station crane at the JC Transfer Station on County Landfill Road (JC
Contract 17FS01). This last Change Order No. 2 will reconcile final project costs.
Fiscal Impact/Cost Benefit Analysis: With the addition of $739.24 the new contract
amount will be $30,458.36 (tax inclusive). This project is funded with local funds.
Recommendation: We recommend that this Contract Change Order be signed by the
BoCC. Please sign all three (3) Change Order originals and return two (2) originals to
Public Works, retaining one original for your records.
