STATEMENT OF ISSUE:
Dale Wilson, OIyCAP Director and Kathy Morgan, OIyCAP Director of Housing and Community
Development have requested to give the County Commissioners a briefing on Housing and Homelessness
in Jefferson County.

• This relationship between rent and homelessness
means all things being equal in Washington +$100
in rent = 2,900 (+14%) more people experiencing

Summer Shelter
During the season we have opened the shelter during the day three times
a week for people needing showers that are working.
▪ We also opened up the shelter twice a week for Narcotics Anonymous and
Alcoholics Anonymous.

• The Therapy Courts, Juvenile services, CPS, DSHS, DOVE House, Jefferson
Hospital, DOC,Jails and Community members.
.- You do not have to be in the court system to get in.
• It is the only clean and sober shelter in Jefferson County
