JEFFERSON COUNTY
STATE OF WASHINGTON
IN THE MATTER OF APPOINTING }
GOVERNMENT REPRESENTATIVES } RESOLUTION NO. 24-18
TO SERVE ON THE PUBLIC }
INFRASTRUCTURE FUND (PIF) BOARD }
WHEREAS,pursuant to Section 3.29.250 of the Jefferson County Code(JCC), the Jefferson County
Board of Commissioners shall signify final approval and appointment of the members of the Public
Infrastructure Fund(PIF) Board by resolution, which shall consist of no more than seven (7)members; and
WHEREAS,pursuant to Section 3.29.250 JCC, the Jefferson County Public Utility District#1, the City
of Port Townsend, the Port of Port Townsend, and Jefferson County shall appoint one elected official or a
designee to serve on the PIF Board as their representative; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 3.29.250 JCC, on May 14, 2018, the Jefferson County Board of
Commissioners adopted Resolution No. 20-18 appointing one at large representative from each Commissioner
district to initial terms; and
WHEREAS, the legislative bodies of the Jefferson County Public Utility District#1, the City of Port
Townsend, the Port of Port Townsend, and Jefferson County have each acted to appoint representatives to
serve on the PIF Board, and have forwarded those names to Jefferson County; and
WHEREAS, the Jefferson County Board of Commissioners wishes to finalize appointment to the PIF
Board of the four governmental representatives;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Jefferson County Board of Commissioners hereby
appoints governmental representatives to the Public Infrastructure Fund Board as follows, who shall serve and
represent their government as long as they remain in office, and as long as their respective legislative body
maintains their appointment as that government's representative:

STATEMENT OF ISSUE:
A Resolution appointing Government Representatives to serve on the PIF Board. Jefferson County Public
Utility District#1, Commissioner Wayne King; Port of Port Townsend, Commissioner Steve Tucker; City of
Port Townsend, Councilmember Deborah Stinson; and Jefferson County, Commissioner Kate Dean
ANALYSIS:
Section 3.29.250 of the Jefferson County Code requires a resolution to finalize all appointments to the Public
Infrastructure Fund Board.
FISCAL IMPACT:
None
RECOMMENDATION:
Approve Resolution re: Appointing Government Representatives to Serve on the PIF Board.
