Dear Ms. Allen:
My name is Kathleen Waldron and I have been a resident of Marrowstone
Island for almost 5 years. My parent's bought this property in 1975 and I
have been visiting Marrowstone Island since then! It is our family home and
I love it here! Such a beautiful rural piece of paradise, with loving and
thoughtful neighbors.
I previously commented about my concern for more traffic on Flagler Road.
I then attended the hearing at the County Courthouse on June 27, 2017,
along with about 80-100 (out of 650) of my concerned neighbors.
After more research, I would like to add a few more comments against
this facility:
1. Traffic • The proposed facilities location is at the end of Flagler Road,
right before the entrance to Fort Flagler State Park. Traffic from the
facility will therefore be adding traffic the whole length of the island
road! And it will also be the farthest distance on the island from the
Chimacum Fire & Rescue Station! That could be a disaster, especially
with the proposed propane use!
2. Location : This property is located between Smitty's Trailer Park and
Fort Flagler State Park, which are both family oriented sites. It is not
