Subject: Request to waive the Pre -Application Conference requirement for Type III permit review per JCC 18.40.090.
It is my understanding the Jefferson Transit Authority is planning to submit a sign hermit application for a
readerboard/changing message sign for the Four Corners Transit Facility. -`
The recent sign code amendment specifies that the review process is for a Type III Conditional Use Permit approval,
which requires a Pre -Application Conference per JCC 18.40.090.
It is my opinion that since JTA has recently been through a CUP process for the facility, and subsequently has been
involved in the sign code amendment, that a Pre -Application Conference for the sign permit would not provide great
assistance or value to JTA in preparation of their application. I would have little additional information to provide
beyond what I have already transmitted.
If you concur with this opinion, would you respond to that effect? I'll make this part of the case documentation and,
with your approval, notify the prospective applicants that they can proceed with application.
