ORDINANCE NO. 14....1213....99
AN ORDINANCE revising the length of time during the year when camping fees will be
collected ~ith respect to the use of Quilcene, Lake Leland, Chimacum, Upper Oak Bay and Lower Oak
Bay campgrounds and enacting revisions to the rules applicable to overnight camping and the fees to be
collected at the Lower Oak Bay campground.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE JEFFERSON COUNTY BOARD OF
COMMISSIONERS:
Section 1: General applicability of campin~ fees:
Ordinance No. 3-83, Section 4 (5) is amended as follows:
Any fee for overnight camping at any Jefferson County campgrounds will be collected for any overnight
camping stay that is occurring or will occur at any time between 7 AM local time on April 1 of any year
up to and including any overnight camping stay that is occurring or will occur as of 7 PM on October 31
of any year. The fees applicable to overnight camping at the Lower Oak Bay County Park shall be
collected for any overnight camping occurring on any night of the year.
Section 2:
Amendin~ the rules applicable to Lower Oak Bay Park Camp Ground
Ordinance No. 3-83, Section 4 (6) is amended as follows:
The fee for overnight camping at Lower Oak Bay Park shall be six dollars ($6.00) per camping unit for
each night an overnight stay occurs between 7 AM local time on November 1 of any year up to and
including any overnight camping stay that occurs up to and through 7 PM local time on March 31 of the
following year.
Section 3:
Impact on earlier Ordinances:
To the extent this Ordinance alters, amends, repeals or contradicts any earlier Ordinances of
Jefferson County or a portion of any earlier-enacted Ordinance, including, but not limited to, Ordinance
No. 3-83, the terms and provisions of this Ordinance shall supersede, overrule and replace the terms and
provisions of any Ordinance that was previously enacted by this County's Board of County
Commissioners.
