Jefferson County Board of Commissioners
Special Meeting — Monday, July 30, 2018, 9:00 a.m.
Jefferson County Courthouse - Commissioners' Chambers
1820 Jefferson Street, Port Townsend, WA
CALL TO ORDER: Chair David Sullivan called the Special Meeting to order at the
appointed time in the presence of Commissioner Kathleen Kler and Commissioner Kate Dean. Port
Townsend City Council Ad Hoc Committee on Housing and staff, and Olympic Community Action
Programs (OIyCAP)representatives were also present.
DISCUSSION re: Interlocal Agreements on Homelessness and Affordable Housing
Using Funding From Recording Fees Pursuant to RCW 36.22.178, .179 & .1791: The Jefferson
County Commissioners and staff and three Port Townsend City Council members and staff were present
to discuss Interlocal Agreements on homelessness and affordable housing funding. Present were:
Commission Chair David Sullivan, Commissioner Kathleen Kler, Commissioner Kate Dean, County
Administrator Philip Morley, Chief Civil Deputy Prosecuting Attorney Philip Hunsucker, City Council
Member Michelle Sandoval, City Council Member/Deputy Mayor David Faber, City Council Member
Amy Howard, City Manager David Timmons, Olympic Community Action Programs (OIyCAP)
Executive Director Dale Wilson and OIyCAP Housing Programs Director Kathy Morgan.
DISCUSSION and POTENTIAL ACTION re: Future Meeting Dates and Agenda
Topics: The members in attendance agreed on August 9, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. as a tentative date for the
next meeting.
NOTICE OF ADJOURNMENT: Commissioner Kler moved to adjourn the meeting at
11:06 a.m. until the next regular meeting or special meeting as properly noticed. Commissioner Dean
seconded the niotion which carried by a unanimous vote.
