Statement of Issue:
Schedule a public hearing for Monday, November 5, 2018, 10:00 AM for the purpose of
receiving public testimony concerning adoption of the proposed 2019-2024 Jefferson
County Six-Year Transportation Improvement Program (TIP). Each county, by RCW
36.81.121 legislative authority, is required to hold a public hearing prior to adoption
of an annual 6-year TIP. The proposed 6-year TIP will be available for public review
through the Public Works office and on the County website at the time of the first
published Notice of Public Hearing.
Analysis/Strategic Goals/Pros &t Cons:
The Board is requested to set the hearing date and sign the attached Notice of Public
Hearing.
Fiscal Impact/Cost-Benefit Analysis:
There is no cost associated with this action. Fiscal impact of capital projects is
reviewed through the adoption of the Annual Construction Program and department
budget process.
Recommendation:
Authorize the Chair to sign the Notice of Public Hearing and return it to Public Works
office for further processing. Public Works will arrange for publication in the
newspaper of record.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING:
PROPOSED SIX-YEAR TRANSPORTATION IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM
Notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be held by the Jefferson County Board of
Commissioners on Monday,November 5,2018,at 10:00 AM in the Commissioners' Chambers at
the County Courthouse, 1820 Jefferson Street,Port Townsend, Washington,for the purpose of
receiving written and verbal testimony about the adoption of the draft Jefferson County 2019-2024
Six-Year Transportation Improvement Program(program). "Each county shall perpetually have
available advanced plans looking to the future for not less than six years as a guide in carrying
out a coordinated transportation program, RCW 36.81.121(1)."Written public comment on the
program will be received until Friday,November 2, 5:00 PM,at Jefferson County Public Works,
623 Sheridan St.,Port Townsend, WA 98368 or emailed to publicworks@co.jefferson.wa.us.
The program is available at the Jefferson County Public Works office, 623 Sheridan St.,Port
Townsend,and www.cojefferson.wa.us/444/6-Yr-TIP
