In 2018 Ms. Rome will serve as the Interim Jefferson County Extension Director, with support by Laura Ryser as a Regional Community Food Systems Specialist on a temporary basis during WSU's hiring freeze and until Jefferson County and Washington State University reach agreement on providing a permanent Extension Director. In addition, Bob Simmons and Joy Lile, joined by Laura Ryser will continue to provide faculty support for programming in Jefferson County.
