HomeMy WebLinkAbout2018 Revised SEPA Notice JEFFERSON COUNTY NOTICE OF WITHDRAWAL OF OPTIONAL DETERMINATION OF NON-SIGNIFICANCE, NOTICE OF DETERMINATION OF NON-SIGNIFICANCE, AND NOTICE LEAD AGENCY STATUS CASE NO.: ZON18-00036 DESCRIPTION OF PROPOSAL: Jefferson County is amending its Unified Development Code (Jefferson County Code, Tittle 18) relating to shooting facilities within unincorporated Jefferson County. The proposal includes amendments such as updates to definitions and updates to JCC 18.15.040, Table 3-1, Allowable and Prohibited Uses. PROJECT PROPONENT: Michelle Farfan, Associate Planner, Community Development, Jefferson County LEAD AGENCY: Jefferson County PROJECT LOCATION: The proposed action covers the geographical jurisdiction of unincorporated Jefferson County. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Jefferson County, as the lead agency for this proposed action withdraws its October 24, 2018 published notice of application and pending State Environmental Policy Act (SEPA) determination. This notice was issued under the optional determination of non-significance (DNS) process, WAC 197-11-355. The October 24, 2018 notice was issued in error, as the optional DNS is not available to non-project actions. The lead agency for this proposal issued a determination of non-significance (DNS) under the State Environmental Policy Act rules (Chapter 197-11) WAC for the proposed action. The lead agency for this proposal has determined that it does not have a probable significant adverse impact on the environment. An environmental impact statement (EIS) is not required under RCW 43.21C.030(2)(c). This decision was made after review of a completed environmental checklist and other information on file with the lead agency. This information is available to the public on request. COMMENTS: This DNS is issued under WAC 197-11-340(2); the lead agency will not act on this proposal for 14 days from October 31, 2018. Comments must be submitted to the Jefferson County Department of Community Development by November 16, 2018 at 4:30pm. This is a nonproject action per WAC 197-11-704(2)(b). Adoption of the proposal by the Jefferson County Board of Commissioners is expected in November 2018.
