BUDGET/PROGRAM:
The Legislature provided funding for the automation of the Real Estate Excise Tax (REET) process. Fees collected
with each Excise Affidavit were distributed to this fund to be used solely for the purpose of automating the process of
collecting, reporting distributing and recording the REET process. This program passed the sunset date of July 2010. Monies
in the fund will be applied to the Third year’s maintenance fees due in 2015.
GOALS FOR FY2015:
1. Work with larger counties implementing the process and utilize their expertise and investigation
2. Work with Auditor on electronic recording
3. Maintain a reserve to offset next year maintenance fees
OBJECTIVES FOR YEAR 2015
1. Continue to implement the automated system with DOR
2. Continue to work with Auditor and Staff
