Share air time and encourage all members to participate DRAFT MINUTES Nov 14, 2018 3:00 to 4:00 pm Chimacum High School Library THE CHIMACUM PREVENTION COALITION NOV 14, 2018 MEETING WILL BE FROM 3:00 – 4:00 AT THE CHIMACUM HIGH SCHOOL LIBRARY, 91 WEST VALLEY ROAD, CHIMACUM, WA. PURPOSE OF THE MEETING: Report: Guiding Good Choices (GGC), Drug Takeback Event, ad hoc meeting dates; Action needed: Prevention club – National Drug and Alcohol Facts Week, Social Host Proclamation, LGBTQ outreach, schedule drug impairment training, LifeSkills Training dates. Facilitators for this meeting: Denise Banker In attendance: Ciela Meyer, Chris Hoffman-Hill, Mark Gudger, Sarah Rogers, Jack Randall, Kelli Parcher, Tanya Barnett Time/Facilitator Activity 3:00 Denise Call meeting to order. Approve agenda and meeting minutes. Sarah moved, Kelli seconded; motion carried. 3:05 Denise Introductions: Kelli Parcher, Jack Randall 3:20 Denise Report on GGC, Drug Takeback, ad hoc meeting will be Nov. 28, 2- 3 at Public Health. 3:25 Denise and Mark Denise asked what we want to plan for Drug Facts Week (Jan 22- 27). Mark asserted the school’s increasing Vape concerns and suggested a Vape education presentation to school staff and parents. Discussion ensued. It was decided we will plan an event in Jan or Feb to address this growing concern. Denise will talk with Karen Obermeyer, and will contact Mark, Brian, and school administrative staff re. specifics, dates, and times. Denise asked if we wanted to do the Social Host Proclamation during NDF week or at Prom/Grad. Time. It was decided we’d have the proclamation read at the BOCC meeting at both times. The December 12th, 2018 meeting of the Chimacum Prevention Coalition will be held at the Chimacum High School Library from 3:00 to 4:00 PM. ALCOHOL AND OTHER DRUG PREVENTION IS GOOD WORK.
