STATEMENT OF ISSUE:
Jefferson County Public Health, Department of Environmental Public Health, requests Board approval of
Amendment No. 2 for the Interagency Agreement with Department of Ecology for Local Source Control,
C1800029; Effective July 1, 2018; Revised budget
ANALYSIS/STRATEGIC GOALS/PRO'S and CON'S:_
This amendment is to revise the budget so that the indirect rate is increased from 25% to 30%. There is
no total change in funding.
The original interagency agreement with the Department of Ecology continues County efforts to eliminate
the risk associated with hazardous wastes. Funding is provided by the Environmental Legacy Stewardship
Account (Fund 19G), part of the Model Toxics Control Act (RCW 70.105d). The agreement's purpose is to
provide specialists who provide no -cost technical assistance and educational outreach to small businesses in
an effort to prevent pollution of waters of the state.
FISCAL IMPACT COST BENEFIT ANALYSIS:
This interagency agreement is fully funded by the Department of Ecology. There is no impact to the general
fund.
RECOMMENDATION:
JCPH management request approval of Amendment No. 2 for the Interagency Agreement with Department
of Ecology for Local Source Control, C1800029; Effective July 1, 2018; Revised budget

STATE OF WASHINGTON DEPARTMENT OF ECOLOGY
AND
JEFFERSON COUNTY PUBLIC HEALTH
PROJECT TITLE.- LOCAL SOURCE CONTROL PARTNERSHIP
PURPOSE: To amend the Agreement between the state of Washington, Department of Ecology, hereinafter
referred to as "ECOLOGY," and Jefferson County Public Health, hereinafter referred to as
or "CONTRACTOR."
WHEREAS, the CONTRACTOR's indirect rate increased from 25% to 30%, effective July 1, 2018,
IT IS MUTUALLY AGREED the Agreement is amended as follows:
1) The Budget is amended to read as follows (see table):
