SUBJECT: Recommendation to Reappoint Lige Christian to the Conservation
Futures Citizen Oversight Committee as a District 3 Representative
STATEMENT OF ISSUE:
Environmental Public Health management recommends that the BoCC reappoint Lige Christian to serve a
new 4-year term on the Conservation Futures Citizen Oversight Committee to represent District 3.
ANALYSIS/STRATEGIC GOALS/PRO'S and CON'S:
A vacancy for a citizen to represent District 3 on the Conservation Futures Citizen Oversight Committee
was advertised in the The Leader on December 5,2018. Mr. Christian resides in District 3 and expressed
interest in serving by the December 21 deadline. He was the only applicant for the seat. Mr. Christian has
served very admirably on the Conservation Futures Citizen Oversight Committee since its inception. We
enthusiastically recommend Mr. Christian to serve a fifth 4-year term.
FISCAL IMPACT/COST BENEFIT ANALYSIS:
There is no fiscal impact to the county's General Fund for appointing Mr. Christian to serve on the CF
Committee.
RECOMMENDATION:
Environmental Public Health management recommends that Mr. Christian be reappointed to serve a new 4-
year term on the CF Citizen Oversight Committee as a District 3 Citizen Representative.
