THE CHIMACUM PREVENTION COALITION Jan. 9, 2018 MEETING WILL BE FROM
3:30 – 4:30 AT THE CHIMACUM HIGH SCHOOL LIBRARY, 91 WEST VALLEY ROAD,
CHIMACUM, WA.
PURPOSE OF THE MEETING: Schedule Vape Training and school discussion, schedule and
plan ACES presentations.

In attendance: Kris Becker, Chris Hoffman-Hill, Greg Brotherton, Ciela Meyer, Jenny Vervynck,
Mark Gudger, Brian MacKenzie

Called meeting to order. Approved agenda and minutes: Kris
moved, Chris seconded. Motion carried.
3:35 Denise
Reported on meeting with Jean Scarboro and meeting with
Rick Thompson. Superintendent has approved coalition to
invite school board to our ACEs presentations; Chris and
Denise will present at 1/23 school board meeting. CSD will
possibly contribute funds. Leaders at Jumping Mouse
recommend Kitsap Strong for facilitation and would like their
board members to be invited.

Continued discussion/clarification of two target audiences for
ACEs presentations: 1) policy makers and 2) front line
professionals. Denise will look into arranging clock hours for
the teachers. Film screening and discussion scheduled for
Feb 26, 1-5 pm. Linda Chamberlain will do workshop in
March. Brainstormed invitation list.
4:25 Denise, Brian Will determine Vape training and Life Skills schedules.
4:30 Denise, Ciela Reminder re: Drug Facts Week 1/21-1/25.

Decision to hold future meetings at 3:30-4:30 pm. Meeting
adjourned.
The FEB13, 2019 meeting of the Chimacum Prevention Coalition will be held at the Chimacum
High School Library from 3:30 to 4:30
