Solid Waste Advisory Committee
Statement of Issue:
Advisory Board New Appointment (4) to the Solid Waste Advisory Committee (SWAC):
1)Two-year term to expire February 14, 2021; District No. 1 Citizen Representative
Tracy Bigelow Grisman, 2)Two year term to expire February i , 2021; District No. 3
Citizen Representative; Samantha Janes, 3) Two year term to Expire February 1q,
2021; Industry Representative Alternate Brian Tate and 4) Re-assignment of Industry
Representative from Alternate to Member; Chad Young; Expiring February 13, 2020.
Analysis/Strategic Goals/Pro's and Con's:
Letters of interest in vacant positions was are attached. Candidacies were presented
at the January 24, 2019 SWAC and have received unanimous support by members.
Fiscal Impact/Cost Benefit Analysis:
A local SWAC is mandated by RCW 70.95.165(3). Costs associated with SWAC
activities are identified in the 2019 Solid Waste Budget.
Recommendation:
Approve New Appointments as detailed in the Statement of Issue (above).
