Subject: Bid Opening for Pavement Marking on Jefferson County Roads in Calendar
Years 2019 Through 2021
Statement of Issue:
A request to publicly open and read submitted bids at 10:00 A.M., or shortly thereafter, as
indicated in the CALL FOR BIDS for Pavement Marking on Jefferson County Roads in calendar
years 2019 through 2021.
Analysis/Strategic Goals:
The Board issued a Call for Bids for the above services on January 28, 2019. Bid invitations
have been duly advertised in accordance with competitive bidding requirements.
Fiscal Impact:
The Department of Public Works has allowed for Pavement marking services in the 2019
through 2021 Road Operations Budgets. The Engineers Estimate for this three (3) year
contract is $484,467.00.
Recommendation:
The Board is requested to have Public Works staff publicly open and read the submitted bids
aloud, then confirm the accuracy of the bids and verify the bidders' qualifications and make
a recommendation to the Board for award of the Contract at a later date.
