Subject: Recommendation for Award of Contract for Pavement Marking on Jefferson
County Roads in Calendar Years 2019-2021; County Project 180 542 20490
Statement of Issue:
Public Works staff has completed checking the bids for the project referenced above, publicly
opened on Tuesday, February 19, 2019, and finds it to be in the best interest of the County to
award the Contract to the low bidder, Apply -A -Line, LLC of Pacific, WA.
Analysis/Strategic Goals/Pro's £t Con's:
Award of this Bid is consistent with the County's goals in that it provides for safety of the motoring
public. Signing the attached Recommendation for Award of Contract memo authorizes the
contract amount.
Fiscal Impact/Cost Benefit Analysis:
The Department of Public Works has allowed for Pavement marking services in the 2019 through
2021 Road Operations Budgets. The Engineers Estimate for this three (3) year contract is
$484,467.00. The amount of the bid submitted by Apply -A -Line, LLC is $402,330.00.
Recommendation:
It is recommended that the Board award this bid by signature of the Chair where indicated on the
attached memo, and then return of the memo to Public Works for further processing. A prepared
Contract will then be provided to the Board for final execution at a later date.

SUBJECT: Recommendation of Contract Award for Pavement Marking on Jefferson County
Roads in Calendar Years 2019 through 2021.
Public Works staff has completed checking the bids opened publicly in the Commissioners
Chambers on Tuesday, February 19, 2019 for the above named project, and have verified the
qualifications of the bidders.
In accordance with the Contract Documents and Specifications, Public Works staff finds it to be
in County's best interest to award the Contract in the amount of $402,330.00 to the lowest
responsive bidder named below:
Apply -A -Line, LLC.
