FORMATION OF THE BOARD OATH: All members were sworn in by the Clerk of the Board. ELECTION: Member Smith moved to appoint Member Garing to serve as Chairman of the Board for 2017. Member Krist seconded the motion which carried by a unanimous vote. Member Smith moved to appoint Member Krist to serve as Vice -Chairman of the Board for 2017. Chairman Garing seconded the motion which carried by a unanimous vote. All members signed the Minutes and Proceedings form. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Vice Chairman Krist moved to approve the minutes for the 2016 Board of Equalization Season: January 31, 2017; February 3, 2017; March 28, 29, and 30, 2017; April 11, 2017; May 24, 2017; and June 7, 2017. Member Smith seconded the motion which carried by a unanimous vote. ASSESSMENT CORRECTION AND PETITION WITHDRAWALS 2016 BOE Season Vice Chairman Krist moved to accept the following assessment correction and petition withdrawals for the 2016 BOE Season. ASSESSOR'S CERTIFICATE OF ASSESSMENT ROLLS The Board reviewed the Assessor's Certificate of Assessment Rolls: Real Property: $4,808,393,182 Personal Property: $50,776,091 New Construction: $60,442,571 Vice Chairman Krist moved to accept the Assessor's Certificate of Assessment Rolls for 2017 in the amounts listed above. Member Smith seconded the motion which carried by a unanimous vote. ASSESSOR'S ANNUAL UPDATE Assessor Jeff Chapman updated the Board members regarding the 2017 values.
