REGULAR MEETING MINUTES
8:30 a.m., Tuesday, October 11, 2016
Jefferson County Courthouse, County Administrator’s Conference Room
Present: Board Members Tim Perry, Howard Scott and David Faber and Secretary Erin
Lundgren were present. Board Member Phil Johnson arrived shortly after the meeting began.
Call to Order: The meeting was called to order at 8:35 a.m.
Approval of Minutes: Member Faber moved to approve the regular meeting minutes of April
5, 2016 and special meeting minutes of June 21, 2016 as presented. Member Scott seconded
the motion. The motion carried.
Review of LEOFFI Board Policies and Procedures: The Board discussed potential changes
to the LEOFFI Board Policies and Procedures relating to the following:
- Increasing the frequency of meetings from twice a year to quarterly
- Establishing a maximum payment/reimbursement limit on dental crowns
- Increasing the maximum payment/reimbursement limit for hearing aids
- Amending language of section 9.7.6 setting conditions for when the
payment/reimbursement of the cost for a spare pair of glasses or contact lenses will be
allowed
- Increasing the maximum payment/reimbursement limit for eyeglasses
The Board members volunteered to research the range of costs for eyeglasses and hearing
aids. It was agreed that the proposed changes will be discussed further at a future meeting to
determine what changes will be made.

New Business: No new business was discussed.
Adjournment: The meeting was adjourned at 9:12 a.m. until the next regularly scheduled
meeting on April 11, 2017 or special meeting as properly noticed.
