REGULAR MEETING MINUTES
8:30 a.m., Tuesday, October 7, 2014
Jefferson County Courthouse, County Administrator’s Conference Room
Present: Chair Tim Perry, Board Members Deborah Stinson and Howard Scott, and Secretary
Erin Lundgren were present. Board Members Mel Mefford and Phil Johnson were absent.
Call to Order: Chair Tim Perry called the meeting to order.
Approval of Minutes: Member Stinson moved to approve the regular meeting minutes of April
8, 2014 and special meeting minutes of August 7, 2014 as presented. Member Scott seconded
the motion. The motion carried.
Review Claim for Payment Determination; City of Port Townsend Retiree Roy Grewell:
The Board reviewed a request for payment of anti-reflective treatment eyeglasses. Based on
documentation that was provided showing the anti-reflective treatment is medically necessary,
the Board concluded that the claim meets the standards for approval outlined in the LEOFFI
Board Policies and Procedures. Member Stinson moved to approve full payment of the claim.
Member Scott seconded the motion. The motion carried.
New Business; Review of LEOFFI Board Policies and Procedures: The members agreed to
postpone discussion of the LEOFFI Board Policies and Procedures to a future meeting when all
members can be present.
Old Business: None.
