HomeMy WebLinkAbout019 19STATE OF WASHINGTON COUNTY OF JEFFERSON In the matter of - Creating a County project RESOLUTION NO. 19-19 designated as Thorndyke Rd MP 4.71 Culvert Replacement. IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED that Thorndyke Road, County Road No. 418708, at M.P. 4.71, be improved as follows: The Thorndyke Road MP 4.71 Culvert Replacement is a transportation improvement project included in the officially adopted 2019-2024 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) as Item No. 11. The project will replace the fish barrier culverts at this location with a bridge. Jefferson County applied for Fish Barrier Removal Board (FBRB) funding in 2018 for project design, and anticipates receiving funding in 2019. The Plans, Specifications, and Estimates developed with the FBRB grant will be used to apply for funding to construct the project. IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED that an appropriation from the officially adopted road fund budget and based on the County Engineer's estimate is hereby made in the amounts and for the purpose shown: PURPOSE PREVIOUS APPROPRIATION PRESENT APPROPRIATION Engineering $ 0 $ 197,000 Right of Way Acquisition $ 0 $ 14,375 Sub -Total $ 0 $ 211,375 Construction: $ 0 $ 1,615,000 TOTAL $ 0 $ 1,826,375 This project is included in the officially adopted annual road program as Item No. 11 . The project is hereby made a part of the officially adopted annual road program in accordance with R.C.W. 36.81.130. MP 4.71 Culvert Replacement Statement of Issue: A Resolution is necessary to add this project to the officially adopted annual road program. Fiscal Impact/Cost Benefit Analysis: The estimated total cost of the project is $1,826,375. Of this amount, it is anticipated that approximately 90% will be funded by state and/or federal grants, and approximately 10% will be funded by the road fund.
