Attended: Linda Tudor, Kathleen Emmerson, Bob Huelsdonk, Diane Schostak,
Hattie Dixon
Purpose and Format of Jefferson County TCC meetiing
1. TCC recommends and advises Jefferson County LTAC and BOCC of usage of
lodging tax dollars for tourism marketing each year.
2. TCC implements the recommended and approved regional promotional
spending.
3. TCC recommends funding amounts for Chamber/area TCCs, but does not
implement Chamber/area spending.
4. All current members will be sent the TCC by-laws and be asked to sign the
last page.; mail or fax back their signed page to Hattie Dixon (to happen in
late October).
5. According to by-laws, members may vote by proxy or by a-mail.
TCC Members
1. Kathleen Emmerson re-instated as Chair and Bob Huelsdonk as Vice Chair of
Jefferson Co. TCC.. P.O. Box 129, Quilcene. QuilceneHotelCearthlink.net
2. Carol Young, West End, has resigned. Bob H. will get her resignation in
writing.
3. Ann Matsche, Rain Forest RV, will be new representative for West End.
Next TCC Meeting
1. Recommended TCC meets quarterly
2. Next Meeting Dec 11, 2006, 11~ a.m. to 12:30
3. Hattie to contact Kevin Z. for December potential meeting space
4. Agenda will be sent to members 1 week in advance of meeting
Budget
1. Budget format for 2006 and 2007 presented and approved
2. Budget will be kept up to date by Hattie Dixon
3. $800 a month for administration of TCC business for the last 5 months of
2006 approved.
4. 2006 budget has about $20,000 unspent after administration fee deducted.
1. No advertising or promotions have been placed for Jefferson County
in 2006, except for Travel Planner.

2. Recommended and approved to buy 1 /3 page for Jefferson County in
Washington State Visitors Guide.
3. Hattie to find additional media to run before Dec, 2006. Will bring
back to committee via a-mail prior to 12/11 meeting.
There is an ordinance with recommended split of lodging tax expenditures
in Jefferson Co. Hattie to contact county for copy of the ordinance.
2007 budget
1. Recommended that the overall budget stay flat to 2006 (we are
getting a late start).
2. Letter for recommended spending must go to LTAC and BOCC very
soon (Hattie to write, Kathleen to sign and send)
3. Letter to each Tourism entity: West End, Quilcene/Brinnon, Port
Ludlow, Port Hadlock, Gateway VIC and East Olympic Forest VIC for
budgets and requested funding. Budgets and requests may have
already been sent to County; copies are requested to be sent to
Jefferson County TCC via Hattie Dixon. If budgets and/or requests
not received by Nov. 30, 2006, the TCC recommends that funds not
be distributed until information is received.
7. Website
1. $9,000/$10,000 may have been paid to InsideOut Solutions in
March to develop www.VisitOlympicPeninsula.com
2. Recommend we develop Home page with links to all Chambers
and/or TCCs in Jefferson County as well as link to lodging page,
Tourism Resources and Photos. Will not request each TCC to have
same look as Home page.
3. $3,500 may have been paid to InsideOut for a webcam at Pleasant
Harbor.
4. Hattie to confirm status and payment of all projects (payment if
made was done in 2005).
8. Photo Library .and CD
1. Photo library will be developed with full rights to all photos available
to media and non-profit partners.
2. The CD (infamous for burning in Quilcene Hotel) will not be re-done.
1. Distribution is not easily done.
2. The 10 minute CD is not quality that would entice either media
or visitors to come to this area.
9. Other
3. Hattie to inquire into photo rights on CD.
1. Kathleen will close out the TCC P.O. box in Quilcene
